Capturing Opportunities 2012:  The Local Living Economy

April 24 & 25 at the Keystone Centre in Brandon.

Capturing Opportunities inspires businesses, individuals and communities; celebrates the achievements of entrepreneurs, youth and communities; engages Manitobans to learn from each other; and connects people to ideas and resources.

The Capturing Opportunities 2012 conference will feature keynote speakers and a host of presentations focusing on current and future topics of interest to rural and northern Manitoba businesses, with particular examples related to the Local Living Economy.  Topics will include:

• Turning Challenges into Opportunities:  Grain Marketing
• Opportunities in the Bioeconomy:  Food
• Co-operative Business Models:  Unique Manitoba Examples
• Growth from Within:  Creating an Environment to Foster Economic Growth
• The Business Case for Staying Local 

To encourage the exchange of business ideas and to provide networking opportunities, a Conversation Lounge will be hosted throughout the event, where presenters and participants can meet and mingle.

Attending this event will provide an opportunity for emerging entrepreneurs and seasoned business people to share their ideas, along with their passions and expertise.
