Congratulations to the winners of the first annual Great Manitoba Food Fight

Three contenders were selected as the winners of the 2007 Great Manitoba Food Fight.

First place went to Patricia Klaprat of Seven Sisters whose Quick Bread Mixes wowed the judges and won her a $20,000 package of services from the Food Development Centre.

Second place went to Mark Hadway of Dauphin. Mark’s Prairie Berkshire Sausage won a $10,000 package of services from the Food Development Centre.

Third place went to Chef Larry de Vries of Brandon who developed three Prairie Bistro Sauces. Chef de Vries won a $5,000 package of services from the Food Development Centre.

All three winners were also awarded one-year memberships to the Manitoba Food Processors Association. The Manitoba government congratulates these three winners as well as all entrants in the inaugural Great Manitoba Food Fight. This outstanding event gives enterprising Manitobans an opportunity to showcase their innovative food product ideas to local, national and international markets.
